Hi, I need some serious help!!!
I bought the X980T yesterday and tried to install the dvd. It worked, then I downloaded and tried to install the 6.1.2 update. This was where it all went wrong!!!
My machine froze and I could not get out of it. Then stupidly I decided to start afresh without thinking it through. I uninstalled the ViaMichelin software from my computer, then I wiped the SD card thinking I could reinstall the whole lot from the dvd provided. The end result is: 1. I cannot reinstall the dvd as it needs the sd card info to activate it and 2. My sd card is now kind of blank or missing important file(s) that will enable me to activate the dvd.

Can someone out there tell me what and how can I sort this out please? Does someone have the original image of the sd card that comes with the unit please? Thank you.

Oh dear, First of all, you should have done a copy of your SD card before you fiddled with it, I think now, you will have to get in touch with Viamichelin, and hopfully, they will replace the SD card for you.

Have you managed to get your x980T up and running.
I'm really interested in getting one and looking for user reports of them.
I'm quite impressed with the website and that it 'looks' to be a supported product unlike my 'NavM*n' product which it's very hard to get a bug fixed and they are just happy with discontining products.

That would be nice. It's my Birthday at the end of the month and I'm thinking about it being my present Smile

I read the report on the launch day and, it sounded and looked like a good PND.

Oh how would I enter the competition.

I have one which, believe it or not, I use together with my Garmin 2820. It is really good if you would like to have a review of hotels, restaurants etc before you visit them. It is quite accurate but slower than the Garmin in giving directions and finding its position on the map. It is really easy to use and works well with the speed cameras on their site (although they appear to be out of date), but you need the latest software fix as the current and newest software crashes when it detects a speed camera!

In France it is very fast to give traffic reports (faster than the system used by Garmin).

I just wish there was a forum devoted to the ViaMichelin PND now.
