After 8 emails to TOMTOM they fianly agreed my tomtom one V2 was faulty. (keeps losing the time) sent it back to them says maximum of days for return. Now neen 12 days to be told now it needs a enw motherboard and they don't have any. its only 4 months old i would have expected them to just replace it. there customer service is crap, anybody else had problems with them. I am letting watchdog know of them.

Assuming you are from the UK ........
Your mistake was going back to tomTom.... you should have gone back to where you purchased it from.
Your contract is with the retailer .. not the manufacturer.. and it is their problem.
read here for how it works :

Just an update still no replacment TOMTOM.
Wahtever you do don't ever send a unit back to TOMTOM. i am now having to take lega action to recover my unit back 6 weeks now and my traffice and speed camera subscription are also counting down.
TOMTOM take days to reply and keep saying there is no parts then o we will send back to you.
NEVER BUY a TOMTOM if you do i hope it doesn't go faulty.

So we`ve all not to buy a TomTom cos you`ve had a bad experience?
You`ve just been one of the unlucky ones with a dodgy TomTom.
You should have taken it back to the shop and read them the riot act. |

Get the broken unit back, then return it to the shop as unfit for purpose |

I recently had a faulty TomTom OneV2.
The usb connector was broken so it wouldnt get power from a charger.
So once the battery died that was it.
Phoned up TOMTOM they did the usual have uyou rest it with the pin trick. I had. So they told me to take it back to the store i purchased it form.
I took it into Halfords. They sent it off to TOMTOM, 12 days later. I've got a brand new (not a refurbished) TomTom one giving me directions.
I would say TOMTOM have a good customer service plan. |
