LONDON, January 2007 – Building on the phenomenal success of the award winning F20 come four new additions to the Freedom range. For the first time, sat nav users can choose between four flexible new packages that satisfy different user needs while delivering the core navigation essentials and innovations for which Navman is world famous.

The flexible new packages offer enhanced features that reflect user core needs including road safety and live traffic information. In a market first, Navman introduce a unique Bluetooth hands-free module which is the first to work flexibly with or without the sat nav unit. A new TMC real-time traffic package with no ongoing subscription or GPRS costs is also available via a clip-on accessory, so can easily be transferred to a second Navman device. And, for those who want it all, there is a new combined TMC traffic and Hands-free calling module - the first in the market to offer the best of both worlds. To complete the options, there’s even a new European version of the F20 with comprehensive mapping for 21 Western European countries.

All in all, the new extended Freedom range delivers the best combination of choice and value built on proven success.
THE NEW FREEDOM RANGE

F20: The perfect solution for drivers looking for an affordable and user-friendly GPS system to get from A to B reliably and safely. Designed to work straight from the box. All Freedom range products include free pre-installed safety camera information and come packed with Navman unique features, such as the much loved Parking and Petrol buttons. £149

NEW F20 Europe with comprehensive mapping of 21 Western European countries and safety camera data covering 7 countries. £179

NEW F30 enhances the F20 with a real-time TMC traffic module, offering complete subscription free traffic information £199

NEW F40 Europe enhances the F20 with European maps and Bluetooth hands-free functionality. The F40 works with all Bluetooth compatible phones and can be paired with up to five different phones at any one time. This means no re-programming of settings. Plus the on-screen caller display allows users to safely see exactly who is calling them. £229

NEW F50 enhances the F20 with Bluetooth hands-free calling and real-time TMC traffic information. A great choice for the mobile professional. Not only can drivers be re-directed if there is traffic trouble ahead on route, but they’ll be able to use the F50 to make a hands-free call to let others know that they’ve taken a detour. £249

“The extension of our hugely successful F20 range is a response to what our customers want from their GPS systems,” says Prash Vadgama, President of Navman’s Consumer Division. “So many different kinds of people are now using satellite navigation, but they want to use it in their own way – those who use it on holidays and road trips like to have European street-level mapping data, while others who use GPS at work benefit from Bluetooth capabilities. Some may want both. By combining an affordable and easy-to-use GPS system with optional high-end additions, users can now customise their own satellite navigation systems with features to suit them.”

Navman’s extended F20 range is available now from leading high street stores and e-tailers.

Navman's website now suggests that the B2 and B2+ modules are also compatible with the N range, albeit without the on-screen functionality.
