Hi all, first post
I've been charging my two-week old 510 in the PC dock today and when I came to remove it it went to the splash screen... and stayed there. I've done nothing to it while it was in the dock other than to try to install an update which there wasn't enough room for, but otherwise it's been quite happily sitting there on the green screen.
When I dock it back in the green power light comes on but the screen doesn't change. The PC doesn't recognise it as being docked either. When I take it off the green light goes out - as if it's switched off - but the splash screen is still there. Pressing the power button does nothing whatsoever.
So the only two things I can think of are:
1. Leaving it overnight to run out of juice and try again in the morning, or
2. Reset it - but where's the reset button?
Despite the handbook telling me it's in the docking port of the unit (circled) - it's not there. Nothing. All I can see is a tiny pinhole but I can see through it to the green circuit board, I think, and there's nothing in it. I've tried pressing it with a pen and a pin anyway, but nothing doing.
Um... help?
I've tried searching but I can't find much that's relevant on the forum.

That's the hole I'd found but having tried it with a pen I wasn't holding out any hope. Besides, like I said, I thought I could see straight through it...
What do I know? The paperclip did the trick :D
Really appreciate your help, thanks |
