Ive been browsing all day, all the topics seem to focus on installing them for the other models apart from the tomtom one.

Ive downloaded the speedcamera files and I recall instructions telling me to just copy the .ov2 and bitmap files and paste them into the main map folder on the tomtom, thats it.

Did that and still dont show up the cameras. Whats going on? Wheres the instructions to install them on the tomtom one only?

The install process is exactly the same for ALL tomtoms. The only extra steps are on the Go910 where you can add Text to Speech warnings. Everything else is the same throughout the range.

As Space_cowby says enable them in Change Preferences / EnableDisable POI.
Have you set up the "Warn when Near" for every category?
Have you gone over the 100 user category limit? (this exculdes the built-in tomtom supplied ones).

I'm not sure from the post if you copy/pasted the individual ov2 and bmp files into the map folder, or copied the folder which contained the ov2 and bmp files.

For the POIs to work, every individual ov2 and bmp file must reside in the appropriate map folder. If they lie in a separate folder they won't work, even if that folder is a sub-folder of the map.

Of course ive enabled them.

This is what I got when I downloaded the file for the speed cameras:
PocketGPScameras.ov2
POICapture folder
TomTom.mnu
SdkRegistry folder

I downloaded another file for the sideways icons which I used instead of the normal ones cause the instructions said so for the tomtom one.

Ok, this is what I did, follow the instructions, for the tomtom one it said copy the .ov2 and bmp files, did that and pasted it where asked in the map folder. Enabled them and everything on the tomtom.

Here are instructions:
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com//modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=18701

It doesnt mention anything to do with the .sku file?

When I go onto the tomtom and search for pocketgpscameras it says cant find anything.

You have downloaded and installed POICapture which is an application to record the position and type/ speed of cameras, it is NOT the speed camera database, this is seperate and requires subscription to the site in order to access the members area - Mike

There's no point in linking him to the camera download page if his subscription hasn't gone through properly...

From the "Subscription FAQs"

Quote:
Q. I've paid using PayPal. Why am I not a Member yet?

A. When you make a payment through PayPal that is funded by Instant Bank Transfer (the vast majority of transactions) we receive your payment and you become a Member immediately.

If you are an existing PayPal customer and do not elect to pay by credit card you therefore elect to pay by a transfer from an existing PayPal account - this transfer takes the form of a virtual cheque, called an eCheque.

All those that are able to use a credit card get instant access.

The rule of thumb is, if you have used PayPal and haven't paid by credit card then you have paid by eCheque.

If you used eCheque we would not have received your payment immediately. Funds will only be received once cleared through the banking system. As soon as payment clears (usually up to 8 working days, but sometimes longer - we have had reports of up to 14 days clearance) you will receive your membership details automatically.

We do mention it on the payment page, but in amongst all the other information, understandably, it can be missed.

Your 1st email subject line from PayPal will read 'Receipt for Your Payment to PocketGPSWorld.com Ltd' whereas the 2nd email will read 'eCheque Payment Complete'.

Whoops, sorry CSB... Our posts crossed.
I'm sure one of the Admin can sort out a refund, if you start all over again, and work out how to pay by credit card.

Have a look at "Usergroups" in the bar at the top of this window.
Select "PGPS staff" in the "non-member groups" section.

Maybe a PM to one of those, but hopefully they will spot this thread soon anyway.
