Tomtom 510 sony e K750i data connection 4 traffic

Hi Guys, Hope some one can help. I am having trouble pairing these devices and setting as trusted (keep losing the pairing, Showing as a 710 with only hands free features) Seems to try to connect to tom tom traffic but fails about 3/4 through ! Have had data settings sent to me by phone network (virgin) but not sure if i am missing something, phone set to gprs/gsm.Tried updating software on phone but didnt want to do that with sony update software. Any one got the same kit working ? and how. Cheers
