Uploading .ov2 file

here are the steps that i'm doing

1 Using the map i point to a spot i want to mark
2 click on tools and click on "Go to co-ordinates (this gives me the cordinates right?)
3 us POI Edit to creat ov2 file
4 upload it to the sd card where map data is
5 soft reboot and the open TomTom

I can not see the POI that I created. What am I doing wrong.

Hi Marius,

It sounds like you are creating the POI correctly, but here are some possibilities that might be causing your problem...

1) When you reboot TomTom, make sure you go to the 'Properties' menu and you will see a list of all the POIs on the program with check-mark boxes next to them. Make sure your newly created POI is in the list and that the box next to it is checked or it will not show up on the map.

2) Do all your files (.ov2, .txt and .bmp) have exactly the same name and are they in the same folder together?

3) If it is just that the POI icon is not showing up on the map, is the .bmp file a 24-colour bitmap?

I hope that one of these suggestions solves your problem.
