TOMTOM 6 Safety Camera Warning problem - On Nokia N80

Firstly, i'd quickly like to say hello to everyone, and on first impression, looks like a great site!

Anyway, down to business.....

I have bought a Nokia N80 symbian phone, and also TOMTOM 6 Mobile GPS. I've managed to install the TOMTOM software, and navigation works fine, but when i open the Camera Warning menu, everything but the update icons are faded (unaccessable) - basically all i have to use is the "Update NOW" icon. So, i try to update, but as soon as i do this, TOMTOM closes down.......

Does anyone have any idea why? I thought that TOMTOM 6 came with camera warning, or am i wrong and i need to subscribe or something?

Any help or glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel would be greatful.

And you will need to register with TomTom to get these as it is a trial offer.

Thanks for that.... I am registered with TOMTOM but i dont know what to do next? .... sorry for sounding stupid but this is all new to me.

Firstly - according to many members the TT Cameras are not as good as the files you can downlooad from here. Secondly, the files you can download from here are cheaper than TT.

But as you have a free trial (along with traffic) I suggest the following.

Plug in the Card into a card reader. Start TT Home if not already active.

Check you have confirmed the trail period. Once confirmed, under Install To TomTom is a list of POI's. One or many of these should saftey (My ar$e) cameras. Select to download these and they will be installed.

Now this information is based on when I installed it many months ago. I removed them immediately as they were not as "accurate" as PGPSW's database.

I ldo not have access to these, so this is all from memory... Good Luck.
