This looks a lot like TrafCam but updates using GPRS. And it uses the Road Angel database.
Cheap too. |

| Interesting, if you didn't already have a GPS app and had no need for one, but wanted camera warnings. £5 seems very aggressively priced! Is there an GPSGate type app, to share a GPS signal, for Smartphones?
At £78 a year, the subscription is 4 times more expensive that the www.pocketgpsworld.com database. More so for lifetime subscription holders.

How does the quality of the Road Angel database compare to ours? _________________ Jock

Oops. sorry.
www.roadangelmobile.co.uk
One would assume end of the month to mean the end of this month. |

Hardly cheap. £5 initial fee, £1.50 per week to use. I make that £83 in the first year, plus GPRS charges. We haven't done a direct download for database updates because we've had very little demand for it, but it's on my "to do" list as are a lot of other features. |

How does it handle Specs? Just a warning or average speed calculation?
Is there any Non-GPRS way to download the update? Not to avoid paying roadangelmobile.co.uk, purely to avoid the GPRS charges? _________________ Jock

If it is like the normal roadangel then it only warns if you exceed the posted speed limit in-between the cameras. No averaging is done. |
