tomtom go 710 RDS reciver

Just bought an RDS reciver for TomTom go 710. What a load of rubbish.
Got no instructions with reciver just that is plug and go. Only got a conection twice for about 5 mins.
Has anybodyb had this problem ?
Can any body help PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the forum, I would start by having a read of THIS - make sure the cable is fully deployed (not coiled up) although there are a number of threads detailing problems with this device in the UK - Mike
