Just bought a TOMTOM One and downloaded more maps from the website then found the memory card was too small. Contacted TomTom about buying a new card no response. Which card do I buy for the Tom Tom one series 2?
Thanks for any advise.

what maps have you downloaded?
if it was the western europe map you will need a 1gb card. this will also allow space for the camera database download and some extra voices etc. if required.
try to get as fast a card as you can afford and a reputable brand name. i bought a 'cheapie' from ebay and although it works in my camera, my tomtom one v2 rejects it.

TomTom don't sell blank media (SD cards).

Try Amazon for a 1Gb card.

Be careful what SD cards you get if you get 4Gb or greater as they are not all compatible with the TomToms.

In fact not compatible with a lot of devices.

Get a decent brand of card, not just the cheapest. Also it needs to be reasonably "High speed" (although any decent brand these days will probably be OK), but "Ultra" isn't neccessary.

The Transcend 150x 2GB from Amazon was suggested by some on this site and seems to be used by several posters, that now includes me it was £11.99 + £4.50 for pp so total cost delivered £16.49 and it works well there is a 1 GB card but its only slightly cheaper so you may as well go for something with lots of free space just in case.

I can recommend the Transcend card also, but with a slight note of caution.

For some reason, despite its quoted and presumeably justified speed rating, it just isnt that fast in the tomtom, for most people doing a back to back comparison between the original TT card & the transcend calculating an identical complicated route the original card will win hands down.

Having said that-my transcend card has behaved flawlessly and the slower route calculation doesnt factor in for daily use, and the manufacturer backs up the card with a lifetime warrantee once you have registered its serial number on their website.

Tesco sell a 1Gb card for £20.00 and card readers for £12.00. The 1Gb works ok in my tomtom one v2 no problem..
