Help
I have paid for speed camera database and when i go to download it it says "windows cannot open this file" " windows needs to go online to see what program created it"

???????? Im confused

Do you mean AFTER you have downloaded it?
If so, the file you download should be called "pgpsw-speed-cams.zip"... are you seeing that?

That file is a zip archive. If you are running Windows XP you can extract the file or files it contains by right clicking on it and selecting "extract all" (If you are using an earlier version of Windows, you will need 'Winzip' or similar to do the same job.

You will now have a bunch of extracted files. I can't tell you what they will be called, because you haven't told us anything about what version you downloaded or what satnav system you are trying to install them onto!

However, depending on what you picked, some of the file formats (TomTom's .ov2 for example) are NOT recognised by Windows. This is not a problem... you don't want to use Windows to open them, you are just using it to copy them from one place to another.

Please come back with some more details of where you got to when you got the error message, and what all the files you are seeing are called.

If all the above dous not refer to you and you actually aren't able to download anything at all, tell us that too.
