Hello there
In the past I seem to remember there was some difficulty upgrading from one PDA to another. Is there anything I should be aware of before I try and install my TT6 on my orange PDA?
Thanks in advance for your help.

You should be OK.

TomTom do get sniffy though if you try to register your product too many times. IIRC they allow you 2 registrations every six months. Make sure you are on 6.0.30 as this is the latest version. Also - The SPV M700 has its own built in GPS receiver does it not? Can anyone else confirm how easy/difficult this is to get working?

It works fine as long as you have the latest TT (6.03). Very pleased with mine.

I know this might be a silly question but can I update from 6.010 to 6.03? And if I can how do I do it.
Any answers will be gratefully received.
Thanks in anticipation.

Connect your device to the PC and start TomTom Home (on the PC) and let TomTom Home download the update, once this is done select the check box next to the new application and hit the Install button - Mike

I have downloaded it from the Tom Tom Site but it will not install it says "you are trying to install to a volume that is read only" I have taken out the storage card and moved the lock switch but this does nothing.
Should I be installing it to internal memory or the storage card where all the rest of Tom Tom is?
Please help I really need to know what is stopping it.
Thanks in anticipation.

The maps go on the card, but the program itself installs in main memory (which should be the default).
