Hi y`all,

I`m trying to get the `safety` (revenue) camera database to work under TT6 (build 7720) on a O2 XDA Orbit (HTC Artemis) running Windows Mobile 5. At this point, the OV2 files display correctly, but I cannot get anything other than beep / bell and moo as sound prompts.

I`ve tried constructing .OGG files for each .OV2 and had no joy. I`ve tried re-constructing DATA.CHK to include voice prompts, but to no avail.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Paul

Hi Paul

You need to make sure that the .ogg files have exactly the same name before the dot as the camera in question and make sure they are in your map directory. Enable the warn when on route and set warning distance and that should be it.. No need to change anything else with ttn6. Much better in that regard than v5.

You will no longer get the choice of sound for the camera it will always use the correct one..

Phil

Paul are you using the TomTom supplied database for the Speed cameras - if so you cannot get spoken alerts as the software no longer treats the TomTom database as POI files, you will only get bells/ beeps etc.
The PGPSW database (from this site) is treated as POI files and will work using suitably named ogg files please have a read through THIS Page, but remember only for PGPSW speed cameras - Mike
