Evenin all, have been looking in on this form since I bought my Mio C510e and have found a lot of the posts very helpful. I to have suffered from problems with the 3.2 upgrade, after the upgrade it would crash with a fatal error and then restart, I have since reverted back to map ver 3.0. My problem is now the CD with the applications doesn't get read in my CD reader (others CD's work) and since I replaced my PC I need a usb driver as when I plug the Mio into a USB it is not recognised. Is there anyplace on the internet where I could download a driver.

Any help appreciated

Yoshie

My sister's DVD won't read on her PC either, so what I've tried doing is copying her Mio DVD onto DVD and (because it's only a few hundred MB) burnt it onto CD as well - 2 different disk formats, DVD and CD.

If your PC is having the same problem and you know somebody with a DVD writer, this might be an idea worth considering - especially if you're likely to need the drivers again.

As far as I know, copyright laws permit the owner to make a pukka backup copy like this so I'm not out of place suggesting it.

The Mio Web has been having major download problem recently - but these now seem to be resolved. You may now find you can download the updates you require. The transfer files are on the site and Windows should see you GPS.

I did sometimes get a ''USB driver required'' message but turning the PC off and on or downloading the transfer software again seemed to resolve the problem - just seems to be a rather flakey program

Thanks for the advice, I downloaded the mio transfer again and this time I was able to connect to the update site. I updated my maps (GB & France) and all appeared to be well the only thing now is , as other have found out it only searches on the first 4 post code letters/numbers. I had a look through the forum but there does not seem to be an answer. Anyone got any suggestions? The map programme version is v3.2 Mar 1 2007.

To restore the full postcode search you need to have a different GB map. Do a forum search on "greatbritain7ppc" and you will find several threads discussing it. Good luck!

Hi, I carried out the greatbritain7ppc.fbl as described in the post by Teece in another thread and every thing is working greatnow. Have copied the instructions as below.

1. manually downloaded the greatbritain7ppc.fbl
2. remove the existing UK map on the gps
3. copy the greatbritain7ppc.fbl (without renaming) to the GPS
4. Connect to Mio update and it auto updates the UK map (I think its actually unlocks it) whilst updating it says updating or downloading greatbritain7ppc.fbl
5. If you check map version it should be ver 060926 200.01+

Thanks for the help
