activation code

if ttn2 was not activated would i still be able to see the maps etc.
i am having trouble with my gps reciever rikaline 6010,and was wondering if the activation code will stop you selecting the reciever?
as i dont get any info on the status screen at all.i have tryed 2 recievers but still no joy.

The activation code would stop you loading all maps.

If you look in the Rikaline forum, there are some known issues with 6010/6012's with a large batch of faulty receivers being sent out.
