Hi all, I encountered quite a big boo-boo in the street listings data on my N20 the other day. There is a town called Wallasey on the Wirral peninsula (part of Merseyside fact fans) which has a substantial portion of it's roads listed as being in Birkenhead, a neighbouring but very distinctly different place.

I thought at first it was a glitch where the two places merged into one so streets very close to the 'boundary' were listed incorrectly but it's not that. Wallasey is my home town and I was making a visit and just trying out the Sat Nav to see which way it took me. I put in some streets near the boundary and most were listed as Wallasey, yet streets at the opposite side of the town were listed as Birkenhead.

Has anyone been to this neck of the woods with a Navman, old or new? And where do I notify Navman of this? The map data itself is all ok, in that the roads are all in the right place and named correctly on the map but when searching for an address to navigate to you get wrong towns.

Cut out the middleman and report errors directly to the data supplier, which is TeleAtlas.

TeleAtlas have a facility on the following site page to enable you to report faults with their mapping. It's quite easy to use and may help someone else to get the right maps in the future.
