I have finally got my traffic to work on my tt300 after having it for over 12months because i have moved mobile phone companies. I finally got it activated and it said trial time activated... so i have some questions...

1) how long is the trial for?
2) what happens at the end of the trial?
3) how do i stop the traffic after the trial as i dont want to pay?
4) after the trial what are the costs - is it pay as u go?

i am on vodafone uk with my mobile suppier...

Please help a newbie people... and thanks in advance... :D

1,Think its a 30 day trial

2, It stops working ...Laughing Out Loud

3, Dunno

4, I believe its about £30 per year plus mobile internet download charge from your phone network again i believe this is about 10p per download

So so i need to do anything to stop me getting charged?

or to keep the traffic updates do u have to call to subscribe or un-subscribe?

you get one months free trail after you activate it...after that it will stop unless you subscribe..have a look at the official tomtom site for more details...

You will need to subscribe to be charged for using this service yes,

BUT I would also check out your phone providers charges for mobile internet connectivity, the Traffic option requires the data connection from your phone to function.

Dependent upon your tariff, connection via GPRS and some data traffic via your mobile maybe free, there again it could be costly. Some networks can charge up to £7,50 per MB of data.
TomTom Traffic typically downloads traffic information in small packets, but these can add up. 6 hours on the road with traffic updates every 10 minutes will consume around 0,5MB - do the sums for a month and it can get costly. - Mike

yes ive got it working i get about 5 mb free a month on my tarrif...
