Series 40

Nokia seems to be supplying phones with "Series 40" operating systems in their newer models. Does anyone know how this differs from Series 60? The numbering suggests it would be a cut down version?

Is there any chance of TomTom supporting these phones? e.g. Nokia 6233

Series 40 is Nokia's propietary system that they've used since they started making phones. It isn't Symbian so can't run symbian applications. It's like any other non-smartphone device, so your limited to basic Java applications only.

TomTom won't work of these devices.
