I'm helping my neighbour with his O2 XDA Mini S (the one with the slide-out keyboard, also sold under the IJam brand, etc.).

I'm not used to Windows Mobile 5 as my Dell Axim x50v us still on Pocket PC 2003.

Anyway, I have successfully upgraded him to TTN6 from TTN5, but I have never managed to get CheckPoint working on his device so that the PGPSW speed camera database can work on it. I can't seem to find a way of recocnising and configuring OVL files in CheckPoint (v.6.0) on his device - the OVL files are not seen.

The POIs show up on the map OK, but there is no advanced warning. Is there an alternative to CheckPoint I should consider?

Thanks,

Ian

Why not use the inbuilt POI warner within the TomTom application? - simply configure the settings for each camera within change preferences/ manage POI/ Warn When Near POI and TomTom 5 or 6 is quite capable of doing the same job.
If you want spoken camera warnings they to can be added have a read through the ogg file method which is part way down THIS Thread as for time related warnings

The only function the inbuilt POI Warner cannot actually do is a speed related warning, give the inbuilt warner a try it works well for me - Mike
