Garmin Nuvi 360 Custom POI Proximity Alert ON/Off

I have downloaded a speed Camera database into my Garmin Nuvi 360 using the Garmin POI loader sofwear. The data unzipped, transferred and I can find the locations in My Locations-Custom POIs. However there is no Proximity Alert On/Off option in the Settings-System screen and the GPS does not give me alerts when driving past the speed camera locations. Any way to get the speed camera alert switched on?
