Missing streets in new maps

I bought the new GB maps last month and downloaded them via Home. Since then I have found that some of the streets I have been looking for recently don't exist. Examples of this are:

Amberley Gardens, Stoneleigh
Bramdean Lane, Petersfield

I have used the old maps to find Amberley Gardens with no problems before but I have not tried to find Bramdean Lane. I haven't tried to find them by postcode but I'm a little surprised that I cannot find them town and street name.

These are not new roads, does the database for new map have issues or is it possibly corrupted?

I am running the maps on a TomTom Classic with the latest firmware.

I can navigate to the roads by postcode and the road and road names are in the map. I just can't seem to get these road by navigating to town and street.

Any ideas please?

There are several Stoneleigh's, so what Postcode do you use?

The reason TomTom can't find it with Stoneleigh as the town, is that it only knows about Amberley Gardens in Epsom.8O

Ah, OK. Thanks, I had looked at all the surrounding areas that Amberley could have been in (Ewell, Cheam, Worcester Park....) but didn't think of Epsom as it is so far away (relatively).

Thanks again for looking into this. I guess I got spooked because this is the first time that I have any great worries about the TomTom.

If I have any anomalies in finding a Destination, I use Find | Postcode, in Browse Map, to check if it looks right.

Adjust the cursor, if need be, and Select Navigate to.

I then know that I'm pretty close to where I want to go.

Good tip.

I prefer to use postcode but unfortunately, on both occasions I only had Street Name and Town to go on.
