Ok the story is...
I have baught a TomTom One V2, (Great Piece Of Kit Btw).
Now when a Freebie is handed to you on a plate most of you take it with both hands if its of any use to you. The offer is 1 month free traffic updates etc free from TomTom themselves.

I have a Sony Ericsson K750i & have managed to sucessfully Pair both my TomTom & My K750i together.
Problem: when the TomTom tries to access the Internet i get the following error message from my phone..
"connection failed check network coverage and data settings"
okay.. so i then downloaded some fresh settings from O2's Website, (It Still didnt work!). So i Called O2 Customer Services..

they sent me this...

Please find the settings below for 'Sony Ericsson K750i GPRS WAP Pay as you go settings':

Please note all steps must be completed to ensure the settings are correctly configured.
Please ensure that when entering 'O2' into the settings that the letter 'O' is selected not a zero.

The K750i has a central navigation button (Navi key) and two softkeys to slightly above to the left and right.

1. Select 'Menu' (right softkey)
2. Scroll to 'Settings' and Select (left softkey).
3. Push the Navi key 4 times to the right until it shows 'Connectivity' along the top of the screen, then scroll to 'Data comm.' and 'Select' (left softkey).
4. Highlight 'Data accounts' and 'Select' (left softkey).
5. Highlight 'New account' and 'Add' (left softkey).
6. Highlight 'GPRS data' and 'Select' (left softkey).
7. Enter 'O2 WAP GPRS', press 'OK' (left softkey).
8. Highlight 'APN' and 'Edit' (left soft key), enter 'payandgo.o2.co.uk' and 'OK' (left softkey).
9. Highlight 'Username' and 'Edit' (left soft key), enter 'payandgo' and 'OK' (left soft key).
10. Highlight 'Password' and 'Edit' (left softkey), enter 'password' and 'OK' (left softkey).
11. Press 'Save' (right softkey).
12. Press the 'back' arrow key (key directly below left softkey) 2 times.
13. Highlight 'Internet settings' and 'Select' (left softkey).
14. Highlight 'Internet profiles' and 'Select' (left softkey).
15. Highlight 'New profile' and 'Add' (left softkey) 16. Highlight 'Name:' and 'Add', enter 'O2 WAP GPRS' and 'OK' (left softkey).
17. Highlight 'Connect using' and 'Select' (left softkey).
18. Highlight 'O2 WAP GPRS' and press 'Select' (left softkey).
19. 'Save' (right softkey).
20. Highlight 'O2 WAP GPRS' and press 'More' (right softkey).
21. Highlight 'Settings' and 'Select' (left softkey).
22. Ignore 'Connect using' and 'Internet mode'
23. Highlight 'Use proxy:' and 'Select' (left softkey) highlight 'Yes' and 'Select' (left softkey).
24. Highlight 'Proxy address:' and 'Edit' (left softkey), enter '193.113.200.195' (to bring up the number press the key until the number appears. To add dots press the '1' key) and press 'OK' (left softkey).
25. Highlight 'Port number:' and 'Edit' (left softkey), enter '8080' and 'OK' (left softkey).
26. Highlight 'Username', and 'Edit' enter 'payandgo', press 'OK' (left softkey).
27. Highlight 'Password' and 'Edit' enter 'password' press 'OK' (left softkey).
28. Press 'Save' (left softkey).
29. Highlight 'O2 WAP GPRS' and select 'More' (right softkey).
30. Highlight 'Advanced' and 'Select' (left softkey).
31. Highlight 'Change homepage' and 'Select' (left softkey).
32. Highlight 'Name:' and 'Edit' (left softkey). Hold the 'c' button (to the right of the Navikey) down to clear any text in the field. Enter 'O2 ACTIVE' and press 'OK' (left softkey).
33. Highlight 'Address:' and 'Edit' (left softkey). Hold the 'c' button (to the right of the Navikey) down to clear any text in the field. Enter 'http://wap.o2.co.uk' and 'OK' (left softkey).
34. Press 'Save' (right softkey).
35. Press the backward arrow key (key directly below left hand soft key).
36. Highlight 'O2 WAP GPRS' and press 'Select' (left softkey).
37. Press the 'back' button (to left of Navi key) 3 times to return to the standby screen.

(Check That Lot Out For a Smack In The Mouth... Ouch!).
So after trying all that.. guess what??
It Still didnt Work.. So.. Im Stuck Yes It Might be something real simple but i just simpley am a Noob! aint gotta clue. (apologies in advance if there is already a post about this problem but im pants when it comes to searching for the Posts "again Im new". Just to also add.. i have had my K750i for 1 Year+ & i have also been to Sony's Website & downloaded the upto date software for my phone. Still No Joy !! could this problem be a result of incorrect dialing/connecting setting with my New TomTom One? any Idea's please feel free to contact me or Post a Reply of even tell me to bin my Phone ! dunno what else to do.
