TomTom 710 Powers down when using the back-up SD

Hello All,

I received a new 710 today and after confirming that the device worked properly, I did a back-up and a restore to a separate SD card (via card reder). When I plugged in the back-up SD card into the device to confirm it was working, it started up with the welcome plash screen (with drums & all) and then powered down after the splash screen displayed for about 15-20 seconds. I repeated this procedure (including backing-up files) twice.

I know the SD card is OK because & can read the files via explorer and I used this card previously for my France/Italy TOMTOM Nav 5 files on a PDA

Any ideas or suggestions?

For the record ... Problem solved

It turned out to be the speed of the 1GB SD card I used for the back-up (Kingston) .... I tried a 2 GB card and it worked. Turns out the TomTom requires a 10X speed SD card, otherwise the unit shutsdown.
