I purchased the v660 map of WE for my TT5 system. Having used it for a week, I have one comment

What is the difference from the old maps (apart from all being joined up)

I can see no difference in the roads from my older one. I'm sure there must be - but where?

As an aside, I plotted a route from Manchester to Newbury. It took me via the M6 toll (which I wanted). I then plotted a route the other way - it took me on the M6 via Birmingham - which I didn't want.

So, how come, it is different going the other way?

Alan

Tom Tom's sales blurb says "for example, we've added over 4,000 new roundabouts in Europe during the last six months" (I think). One of them is near me and is at a crossroads which in a good 30 years has always been a crossroads and still is. If you had the speed limit feature in your previous map, some new ones are "different" (not necessarily correct!!) and I have eventually found a new bit of road. It's difficult to answer this without first driving every inch with before and after maps - they may not have changed your roads, but that doesn't mean they haven't changed someone else's.

Why go back the non toll road route? Who knows? - that's life and a vagary of satnav. Maybe it was just following the rule of the road and keeping left when that junction came up? Sometimes you just have to ignore the directions. Not much help if you didn't know the toll road was there is it?
