My Dad has the complete set of street level mapping for western europe for his 300.

I've just got the 510.

Question is, will the maps work in my 510 if i get a large SD card. If they would, am I breaking any rules by doing this?

After a fashion, and Yes.

You could get an activation Code for use of the Maps on a 510, but then it would cancel out his ability to get from TT and any Upgrade he might want.

You can only use 1 Product on 1 machine at any 1 time, as set out in the EULA.
