Hello,
I'm considering buying a TT one GB but have a rather odd question. What functionality, if any, is available, if the area of usage is not covered by the loaded maps etc. Reason for asking is if it could be used as a simple receiver GPS coordinates, bearing, speed etc. in countries whose maps aren't simply available e.g. Asia etc. Yes, a non-mapping GPS receiver could do the same but just wondering :-)
Also, is software API available for say temporarily achieving the above? A developer friend of mine (he's into GIS stuff) in south Asia is thinking about tinkering with GPS so wondering if TT one could be a cheap way to start off.
