Hi Folks!
After just returning from holiday where I took along my TomTom 6 Navigator software + PDA I found that many 'Shops' etc. were missing from my maps so while away I saved quite a few for the future BUT I cannot get it to save them in the standard 'Shops' or whatever category unless I specifically create a new one which seems daft - any ideas?
Also, Is it possible to edit the maps as where we were staying wasn't actually on the maps (the road isn't on!).

You cannot edit or add to the pre-installed POIs. You can create and add your own custom POI categories that will display along with the included ones. So if you add your own restaurants you will have two restaurant categories. One include and one custom.
You cannot edit the maps. |

There is a web site and a stand alone version of an app named something like POI2GO. You can create your own POI database from it.
For example. You enter mcdonalds, your zipcode, and radius in miles from that and will give you a list of all of them. It will save them as an ov2 file. Find a 22x22 BMP of the golden araches and you are good to go. |

Seems a bit madness that TomTom don't allow you to add to the default POI's as when it comes to doing a 'Find' you have to search twice for the same category (for shops for example).

It would be nice to be able to delete TT defaults. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property
