Not sure if i've got the correct forum here but is it possible to get on the internet on my HP iPaq via my GPS receiver? I'm sure i've seen someone do this before where they had a paid subscription with a company which allowed them to get on the internet from their car.

You cannot use the GPS for anything other than GPS. What you need to do is link the PDA to your mobile via Bluetooth and use the phones GPRS connectivity (if supported) contact you mobile phone company to enable this - but watch the cost! - Mike

WAP is not the same as GPRS (although often confused this way) - some phone companies allow GPRS on pay as you go, most however don't. To get true internet access you need GPRS or better still UMTS (if the device supports it) the UMTS/ 3G connection is much faster for mobile internet, but it clobbers the battery in the phone from my experiance - Mike
