I have just recieved my TomTom Go GB v2 - and I must say, I'm very impressed by it, but (there's always a but!)
It has one flaw, and that is that the level of detail on the map, in terms of speed limits, is very limited - it only has speedlimit information for one road on my way to work.
I would like to be able to add speed limits to all of the roads on my way to work; but from what I've seen, there are no editors for the map information.
Does anyone have any ideas about how I might be able to achieve the result I'm after? I want it to warn me if I'm over the speedlimit everywhere I travel - one thought I had was if I could have a 'POI' that sets the speedlimit, if I pass it, it explicitly sets the speedlimit, ideally I would lke to be able to assign a speedlimit to any given road...

There is no way that is possible for this sort of information to be added to the Map Data.
It would be possible to create POI categories for Speeds, but I wouldn't want to undertake it. 8O
You would need 2 POI for every Location, one for going faster and one for going slower. Both would try to Warn at the same time as POI's are not directional. As yet.
Even so it wouldn't tell if you where over the limit, just that limit had changed.
As things stand I'm afraid it's down to the good old fashioned way of looking at the SpeedLimit Signs, as they appear.;) _________________ Richard
