Navman N20, SmartST 2006 and Pocket GPS Speed Camera DB

I’ve recently bought the Navman N20 and found the default camera DB warning wholly inadequate with it’s wanring ‘bell’. I ‘ve just downloaded the Pocket GPS Speed Camera DB and used SmartST 2006 to upload the POI and used some nice warning ogg files (http://www.tomtomsatnav.info/realvoice.html) which I converted to wav.

But the problem I’m having is that the camera POI seems to be way off for about 75% of the camera’s and also it detects and warns of camera’s on the opposite direction of travel. Could this due to the .asc files not being compatible to SmartST 2006?

P.S.I also have the free camera db active from Navman too.

The files here are compatible with SmartST 2006. Can you define 'Way off' please? How far away from the physical location are the cameras shown?

As for warnings on the opposite side of the road, the warning system provided by Navman (and most others) is a *proximity* warning which will issue a warning at a certain distance from the POI. Direction is not taken into account, nor the actual location of the camera with respect to the road you are travelling on.
