Just joined, 1st ever message inquiry!
Hello all you teckno wizzards, all this is making me feel old. Just downloaded & transfered to my Garmin (I think) the upto date safety camera locations. Ive read other NewBoy entry's and figure that they will only show on my map when (If) I'm speeding. As I'm already on 9 points I'd rather know before the flash that these will pop up on my Garmin?? HOW DO I KNOW I'VE DOWNLOADED PROPERLY Please help,

Hi FSD,

The cameras will display whether you are speeding or not as long as you have loaded them properly.

If you are above the speed associated with the camera you are approaching, your Garmin will continue to "bong" until you reduce your speed to below the speed limit. The camera will continue to display until you have passed it.

You do not say what Garmin you have, but I assume that you have downloaded the correct database from Pocket GPS world.

If you access your custom POI,s on your satnav you should see listings for the speed cameras, and if you pick one near you that you are sure is there, you should see it displayed on the screen.

There are a number of guides within the PGPSW forums to help with downloading / uploading cameras to your Garmin so have a search.
