I installed tomtom6 on xdaii wm5 successfully. When I start tomtom the back light switch off. If I come out of tomtom light comes back. Anyone out there had this problem?

you need to open the tomtom navigator.exe file in a hex edit program and
change all references to backlight to bbcklight then transfer the file back to the hand set.

Thanks for your help. On some other forum I found the backlight fixed file for tomtom6, it worked. Thanks again for your prompt reply.

the bit here is that the xda2i was not designed to to have wm05 on it this would explain the strange behavre that tt exhibited by this im mean it would be hardware issue

Sorry for the slightly off topic reply but XDA2I with WM5 HOW???

I have an XDA2I and would like to WM5 on it, does it run OK what issues if any? and does TTN5 and or 6 work OK?

I have been surfing but found it was not possible to run wm5 on the XDA2i only the XDA2...

If you actually look at the file rather than posting notes read on other forums there is no reference to backlight and change to bbcklight therefore this is not a possibillity.

All references to the backlight functions are formated as B.A.C.K.L.I.G.H.T and changing hex values will not work. The issue is with WM2005 not tomtom. XDA2 will not fully support WM2005.
