TomTom speed cameras now free?

Hi,

Just plugged into TTHOME to do some pre-journey planning and during the update I was given a LONG list of POI updates, speed cameras in fact, for the whole of europe. I downloaded just the UK ones and it installed no problem. Reconnected and again it prompted me to update the rest of Europe POI speed cameras... so I did.

I tried running the Speed Camera update through the TT510 interface and it said (quite correctly) that my sub had expired.

So what's going on - have I missed something and they're in the throws of making them freely available or has TTHOME screwed up again?

In any case, I'd grab them while you can as a backup to the PGPS database.

Not sure but think you will find they are only the static cameras.

It still gives me updates from time to time - and my 'demo' sub expired about 6 months ago... it's a pain because you end up with loads of files you don't want in TT Home (and if you delete them they come back again at the next update).
