Hello Bigrids,

i am going to give this a go later today, so would appreciate if you could let me know exactly how you did it. Presumably you need to rename the file to DATA.ZIP and copy it over along with the font file?

Cheers

ultrax,

Hi,

You're exactly right. Just make sure that you copy the original data.zip file onto your pc somewhere. Then copy the new file onto the mio using miohack and rename it to DATA.ZIP (remember the capitals) You must include the arial file as mentioned and then take a look at it. WOW!!!

I don't get the TMC button on my screen but I have discovered that if you touch the speed symbol (30) on the map then the TMC page appears.

Good luck and once again many thanks to miomio.

Hi bigrids.

Hope I'm not stating the obvious here, but have you clicked on the clock on the top left hand side of the screen?
That's how I get mine to display then click the clock again to hide it.

CeeJay,

Hi,

No I've tried that. It does hide all the icons but no TMC button. Also my bluetooth icon is on the right hand side of the screen.

I have discovered that if I tap the speed symbol on the map it brings up the TMC page.

Mind you I have a C510 and I notice you have a 710 so maybe that's the reason eh?

Hi Bigrids,

i think you are right, as my 510 setup is exactly as you describe and i also only get the TMC screen if i press the speed symbol. Do you still get the TMC button when the adaptor is plugged in? The extra options are nice though.

Hi,

Yes that must be the answer then ref the TMC button as yours is the same as mine.

I still get my TMC button in the usual place when its connected to the power.

Hi Ultrax

Glad you're up & running. :D

Bigrids.
Sorry I couldn't have been of more assistance re: TMC icon, but it certainly looks like you've hit the nail on the head.
There must be a difference between a 510 & 710.

All in all I think it looks pretty good.
A big thumbs up to miomio I say Thumbs Up

Just need one of these clever bods on here to convert the voice warning for the cameras into English and we'll be sorted. Wink

Hi!

Would first like to say thanxs to miomio for this excelent Skin. The best Mio skin I have tried yet.
Just one slight thing. Is it possible (In a later revision... :-) ) to remove the "speedsign" from the cockpit view. Now it is smaller but it would be nice if you could hide it in the same way like you casn hide the other icons. It usally shows the wrong speed anyway. (Maybe this is the case for swedens speedlimits)

Othervise I love it!

Hi mrgrannie.

Just for your information, most of the speed limits are wrong in the UK too.
Like yourself, I'd rather have no data than incorrect data.

Hi Bigrids & Ceejay,

not sure if i have missed something but i tried out my 510 with the black border file and everything works fine bar my TMC adaptor. It is recognised but simply will not lock onto any stations, hence no TMC data. I deleted this and copied over the blue border file, result was almost instant TMC reception and pages of incidents. I also notice that the files are of different sizes, so i wonder if one is specifically for the 510 and the other for the 710?

Regards

Ultrax,

Hello again.

I must admit I did think about the differences in colour, blue versus black. I went for the blue first time and interestingly, as soon as I connect the power the tmc screen comes on automatically showing all the incidents. I have been wondering about trying the black file but I won't bother now. Thanks for that info.

I have silenced the foreign female voice by changing to simple notification. Now it just bleeps.

Bigrids,

trust me to pick the wrong colour first, but at least we now know that the blue border file is the one for 510 owners with working TMC adaptors (unless someone knows different). I have to agree that the locking on and display of traffic incidents does seem faster with this new data file. Hopefully miomio will soon post a link to new data files with an English camera warning, but apart from that i am very pleased with the additional options etc.

Hi Guys.

I too picked the blue one first time and everything worked first time. So I think I'll stick with it.

Bigrids.
Thanks for the tip on silencing the foreign voice. Talk about overlook the obvious. Embarassed
I'm certainly much happier with the overspeed warning on this set up too. :D
