Hi,
as mentioned this is something which is being worked upon. This is just the prototype demo.
The codeline is not yet closed.
Hopefully I can supply the hacks when it gets finished. Wink
b.t.w there will also be a "touch" button, which will wipe out all the buttons [widescreen display]and the next touch, puts them back again on the screen.

only thing thats missing is "Dolby Digital" & "THx" surround sound
:D

This looks great.
One of the things I don't like about the Mio 510 is the layout of the screen. This looks just the way I want it!!

Good luck with the codelines...

[black band @ the bottom]

**You have to make a copy of your original data.zip file....before you start hunting for me..
**don't do it , if you think it may screw up your MIO
*it runs only for 3.2 [510 e/c710] & maybe the older 510 too, but you have to check.
*be adventurous to find out yourself what's where and what's new
*Thanks to JP

Thanks miomio. Just looking at this now. I also found that I had to copy arialnb.ttf from my PC to the Miomap folder on the Mio.

miomio,

Thanks I have downloaded this and installed it. I also needed the arial file. It does look good but doesn't have a tmc button as in your picture and the bluetooth button is on the right side of the screen.

Any thoughts ?

Hi bigrids.

I've just given this a try and the TMC button does appear on mine. :D
Many thanks to miomio too. Thumbs Up
Now gonna give it a trial and see if it makes any difference to the stability of the v3.2 software.
Keep ya posted.

[can be dnloaded from plethora of places]

here's a quick rant :-
-widescrn display
-new startup logo
-pin on gps posn[ very handy to find your lemon in that big crowded parking place]
-pin on cursor posn
-bat & gps icon chgd.
- time (in cockpit View)
- time (in map of View)
-Current time has 2 functionalities: show/hide extra icons
-right corner button to go to to windows CE (not for C210)
-Height above sea level meter[ under clock]
-TMC scrn. if you press speed board
-& many more.......I lost count

Hi all.

Only done 6 journeys with it so far.
Initial impressions:
I do prefer this overspeed warning, much more pleasant than the Mio one.
Nice touch having a verbal warning for the cameras, pity it's not in English.
Have to say no unexpected crashes or freeze ups so far.
I did have one but figured that was my fault.
I was approaching a camera in slow moving traffic and thought I'd set the direction arrows in the correct plane.
So whilst it was giving me voice commands for directions, coupled with the voice warning for the camera, and moving the map, and doing it's calculations for my ETA, plus all the other stuff it does in the background, trying to change the direction arrows with all that going on was all a bit too much for it. It rebooted.
Although after the reboot I didn't have to reselect the language or select the time zone and my phone stayed paired with the device, so now it's a bit less traumatic when it does reboot. :D
In normal use it seems to work well.................. So far.

CeeJay.

Or you could just copy it from your PC.
You'll find it in C/Windows/Fonts.

Nice work by the way miomio Thumbs Up
Just need an English voice warning for the cameras and it'll be sorted. :D

Was the person who developed this bored or something, as they have spent a lot of time making the sky look pretty with clouds in the day mode and lots of stars in the night mode.
Not complaining. Just more eye candy on a device who's graphics were already head and shoulders above the competition.

Hi Bigrids,

when you say the TMC button is missing, does it appear when you plug your TMC adaptor into the C510?

Regards

Ultrax

Hello again.

No the button is still where it always was on the satellite screen. But it doesn't show on the desktop as per miomio's original picture.

Have used it today for real and it now resembles (dare I say) a TomTom One !!! really nice to have a much bigger map. I was a little shocked by the female voice on approaching a camera. Perhaps we could transfer the original audio file from the original data.zip?

Like it lots though
