If the time gap between two different cycles of suntime is more than 1 minute, we can assume that a stop/start sequence has happened and check if time and coordinates needs a color switch. I keep your idea...

Does v1.2 do this, or will this be in a later version?

No, v1.2 just introduces a configurable checking period, which is, imho, the best palliative to this SDK keyboard bug.

If you're using frequently the keyboard, just set a huge value to the period parameter and you decrease the probability to see your caption erased by suntime awaking.

According to the manual, I should be able to go to Brightness Preferences and select an option to automatically switch to night colours when the in-built ambient light detector thinks its dusk.

All I see on the Brightness Preferences screen is the option to set the day and night brightness levels via two slider controls that control the percentage, there's no other options available.

Has anyone else managed to enable this feature on TomTom One V2 ?

(It's using firmware 6.501 which I believe is the most up to date for this model)

Hi

I'm new to this and hope I'm replying at the right place!?

I have just received my TomTom One V2 and have had no problems enabling the day/night feature.

I select preferences, then either daytime/night-time depending what you have it selected on. It then changes the screen brightness to either darker or lighter.

I think my firmware is V6.52 but if someone would like to confirm where I find this information?

Hope this helps!

It sound as if you've selected your preferred daytime map and the nightime map, but have you found a way to automatically change from daytime map to night-time map when it gets dark, and back again when it gets light?
Thats what planetgaz was asking about.
