Any advice for a complete novice?

Hi Guys and Guyesses,
I am completely new to this GPS lark and I'm turning to you to get some advice.
I have a Psion 5MX and I'm hoping to be able to use this to plan a route from A to B. I could just buy and use some software like Routeplanner for this but I also hope to be able to get a GPS gizmo that works alongside of the Psion as funds allow to actually plot my journeys around this pleasant land of ours.
With that in mind, I don't want to buy Routeplanner and then find that GPS doesn't work with that on a Psion and have to buy more map stuff.
I'm not bothered about "voice instructions" though that would be a bonus.
Any clues?

There are not many programs around that support this old machine. (Actually, with the advent of WayFinder it may come back to life since that also works on Symbian). Try contacting WayFinder or TomTom directly and ask them for a Symbian port of their applications..

This forum here doesn't have much experience with Psions or even Palm based devices. Sorry...
