|
|
Hi, i recently bought a Navman ICN330 for £100. I used it once to go away for the weekend and found it very satisfactory, only thing wrong was one of the buttons was faulty and stuck.
So, i am going to take it back to exchange it, but after research (should have done first), you cannot add speed camera locations. However, the store is doing the PiN 570 for £130, which you can obviously update with POIs etc and is also PDA.
Therefore my question is - is the navigation software and features the same? such as moving 3d map and other options etc, on trying to review specs the recivers are different? and the 330 has anti-glare high res screen whereas only info i have on the 570 is 3.5" screen. Basically, which is the best product? The £30 extra is probably irrelevant as it only needs to save me from one camera to benefit.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |

ICN330 is GPS (Navigation) only device.
Pin570 is a PPC.
ICN has the softare built in and can only use maps that are compatible with it and often only from the manufacturer.
Pin570 (PPC) can be supplied with different software packages. I do not know what yours may come with but you can always change to one more suitable for your requirement, though aat extra cost.
I always recommend a PPC even if you only use it as a GPS device. _________________ Pc-Mobile

The PIN 570 is OK, I use it daily for work but there are a few MAJOR faults.... The power supply is FLIMSY and breaks easily, I have had to take the whole thing apart twice and re-solder...... when you want to check the written directions the unit freezes and you have to do a soft reset (Pain in the bum)
I would say, Don't buy a PIN 570 ! |
