just purchased the speed camera database and have been asked this question

Speed Zoned: Contains the speed cameras in individual files for each speed limit and each camera type.

Single File: Contains all the speed cameras in a single file irrespective of type.

Consolidated by type: Contains one file for each type of speed camera.

Which do i want for my tt go classic please

You can use any of these, it depends what you want from the device in terms of information.
The single file version is simply that, a file that contains the entire lot, you get a warning but no information about camera type or speed threshold.
The consolodated by type will inform you as to the type of camera, but does not contain any speed related information.
The Speed Zoned gives you the most information, where you are presented with camera type and speed prior to passing the camera.

With any of the above installed you can configure the device to issue a spoken alert warning you of the speed camera, the speed camera and type or the speed camera and type and speed for the area.

The only point to consider is the limit on the number of POI's you can custom install to the device, TT5 generally has a limit of 39, if you are using TT6 on the device your limit is raised to 100. - Mike

Yes you can copy all the files across using this method however the Home download is a bit smarter in use, simply copy the .cab and .toc file from the download to the folder on your PC that tomtom Home uses for extra content, to find out which folder this is start Home application and then press File / Preferences select the advanced tab the file path to place the two files is in the second text window entitled "Extra Content"

Once the files are in this folder on the PC dock the TomTom and you should see the PocketGPSWorld speed carea POI file available on the screen, check the box adjacent to it and click "Install" - job done, this might seen long winded, but it takes longer to describe than to perform - Mike

Edit once Mike Alder
48 files is correct there are 24 ov2 files and 24 bmp files that make up the Speed zoned file set

But you only have to do it once, thankfully!
Next time you update them, you can leave the .bmps alone as they don't (usually ) change. Just paste the new .ov2 files into the same place and let them overwrite the old ones with the same names. All your distance and noise set-ups will stay the same Smile .

(Long live copy-and-paste!) :D
