TT1 NE - Navigator 5 Upgrade Pack - Would it work?

Would the TT Navigator 5 Upgrade Pack (Europe) work on my TT1 New Edition (Regional)?

I asked tomtom this and no it won't the v2 needs v6 maps.

My Tomtom Navigator 5 USA map (CD version) works on my TT1 regional without problems.I had to provide receipts to Tomtom get a new activation code.Most of their staff are not technical enough, and most of the time they tend to give false information.Take note, I have had 3 diffrerent anwers on a simple straight forward question.AFAIK, V6 map wont run on V5 application.

I've now installed and activated my v5 WE maps on my tomtom one v2

no problems at all - using the France PLUS map - just plotted a route from home to the south of france and it's picked up a traffic delay 670km from here as well.

My WE maps had previously been activated twice - so now three times with no issues. (this is the 4th time in reality as tomtom removed one activation when my pda failed and was replaced.)

I drove around 4000 miles in france over the summer and this map is upto date enough for me for the next year - represents quite a saving over the europe version tt1.
