TT6 speed alerts

Hi,

I recently upgraded from V5 to V6 because I wanted updated maps (and the offer was on). I noticed the flashing red speed the other day and thought "how Bl***y annoying is that!!" So is it right that this is a "feature" I cannot disable?

I am very annoyed by the upgrade anyway, the new map still does not have my new local roads on it (built over 2 years ago and flagged to TomTom after last years upgrade to V5), I have features I cannot disable and despite their tips I cannot import my old (and extensive) favorites.

How can such a market leader push out such a poorly concieved product? I should be able to disable new features I don't want, have full upgrade processes that dont lose data (as from V3 to V5) or apply new maps to old versions - as it is I have no choice as I am forced to upgrade as the new map does not work with V5. I feel this has been a waste of my money and will probably end up going back to TT5.

Thaks for that - I was not aware that I could do that. Something else that was not made especially clear in the upgrade process.

I think my comments still stand regarding the general v5 to v6 process - how can a mature product from a market leader force features on customers without the ability to disable them? Even Microsoft allows you to do that!

Same applies with the upgrade process, when I upgraded from 3 to 5 the process was quite slick, but the new version requires me to go to their website and fish through their tech support to be told how to fudge config files to keep my favorites. Not the sort of thing you expect from a product designed for the mass market.
