I understood that cameras were supposed to be put in places where there were at least 3 deaths or serious injuries.

On the A12 from the Green Man Roundabout to Hackney Wick theres 2 50mph cameras for no reason at all. According to information on the London Safety Camera Partnership site theres been no fatal or serious collisions!!!! Confused

Why are they there? Anyone have an idea?

AFAIK that's just a recommendation / guideline and not set in stone
