Hi,

This forum site is very informative. I have a number of gps programs. I also have a Honda Euro Accord with gps tracker in built. Each program has it good points and bad points. The Honda big plus is the bigger screen obviously but some very annoying minus's as well, like terrible eta function until you are virtually at the location (at a start of a 7 hour trip, the Honda eta will be at least 3 to 4 hours more than the actual time). I would like to know if any of the gps programs, copilot, navman, tom tom etc, can be loaded into a car gps system???

I would think with the increasing prevalance of in car gps systems, these programs would find a market in car gps units. Imagine using your pda gps system on a big 6" inbuilt screen that doesnt glare!!!!

I can vouch for the rubbish Honda in car sat nav...thank goodness I invested in an original TT system years ago, subsequently upgraded along the way.
More to the point with the Honda thing...the disclaimer...everytime you switch the ignition on and then again to turn the engine on..frusatrating...no warning camera downloads or options, in fact, no downloads or updates at all...no 3D view....and a very tiresome navigation system to find your way around. And you think TT maps are out of date...buy yourself a Honda and then you'll see what out of date really means. Thank goodness I didn't have to rely on it to get me around Portugal in the Summer.
Why on earth, don't they do a deal with a mainstream Sat Nav supplier and do the job properly...and what a selling point it would be too.
