Success (of sorts !)

Our internal IT people have changed our proxy server and the download of the update now works.

I performed a backup tonight using TomTom Home and applied the update and did a safe removal of the USB but now by TomTom Go Classic is only showing the logo screen with the picture of the TomTom. I have tried a laptop re-boot and removal of the SD card and re-insertion but it is now like the system is not recognising TomTom at all. It looks like it has self destructed !!

Have you heard of this before ?

I am going to try and drain the device by unconnecting the mains power to see what happens, if that fails I guess I better contact TomTom to see what they suggest.

Thanks for all of your earlier assistance - I have now updated my application using TomTom Home to version 6.

It was a proxy change that allowed me to Login.

Also, an earlier problem of the unit freezing was 'cured' be pushing the reset button underneath with a paper clip as recommended on the TomTom web site.
