|
|
Hi Guys.
Looking to get myself one of the new Tom Tom One's with the European Maps as I will mostly be using it to drive back and forth from UK to France.
Does this unit give complete directions from a UK to a French Address?? Does it take into account whether you are using The Chunnel or Ferry, etc.
Are the European maps down to street level same as UK?
Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure I get what I think I'm going to get.
Thanks in advance.

Don't know how it figures the cross channel bit but the map is one continuous seamless map of Europe; so, yes, UK address straight to French address. |

You can map continuously from a UK address to one in France. To ensure that it routes via the crossing of your choice, you can plan an itinerary with a waypoint at the tunnel entrance (or Dover harbour). This is easily done offline using TomTom Home on your PC, the route can then be stored and used when you want it. I have bought TT1 v2 Europe and this feature works very well

If you leave it to its own devices, it will almost always choose the tunnel unless you set a point to "travel via". Or put the complete route on an Itinerary - several points in a row.
The French street level is just the same detail as in the UK. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)
