Hi

When u select MPH in TTNav you get the voice prompts and so on in yards....as the UK is a a mixed metric and imperial country can you select to display MPH but direct in metres?

Thanks

Sorry but this is not possible in TomTom or any other software I've used. We really do copnfuse things don't we, petrol in litres, fuel economy measured in mpg, rulers in cm's and roads in miles. I'm sure that motorway countdown markers are in metres also Confused

It is a bizzare situation indeed. We should bite the bullet and change to kilometers. :x

However, 100 yards = 91 meters The two are virtually interchangable.

You could just leave your GPS on Metric and read your MPH speed from your speedometer and KPH from your GPS. :D

Another quirk is that my Garmin GPS can be configured to display height and vertical speed in meters or feet - this is independant of the metric/imperial/nautical setting for speed and distance.

I guess this is for aviation use.
