OK Call me paranoid.
I have a Go500 and I've always felt alittle nervous that SD card is there on it's own. Is it possible to make a back up of the card so that if the card does get corrupted then I have a rescue plan.
I did think that this could be done via TomTom home, but it seems if the card is suspect I may not be able to connect the unit to the PC. After reading about the problems experienced StevePritchard it sounds as if backing up is even more desireable.
Is it possible to make a complete card back-up and the next question is how? Question

Just use TTHome or a card reader, or connect your 500 via the USB or use the CD that comes with the 500.

same; same.

Easiest way if you are confident with normal file copying on a PC, is to connect the Go via USB, open up Windows Explorer, COPY the entire Go card contents to somewhere safe on the PC harddrive, then put the new card into the Go and copy and paste everything back.
Before you start, ensure you have Windows Explorer set to "Show hidden Files and Folders" and NOT to "Hide extensions of known file types" (both options set in Tools / Folder Options / "View" tab in Explorer).

Then just check the new card works, and you're done.
