|
|
Just browsing the IGo site and discovered that you can add your own custom keyboard by editing the keyboard.ini file in DATA.ZIP.
First thing I did was add a lowercase querty set as follows:
[panel]
name="qwerty"
layer="ui_kbd_qwerty"
type=3
keys="qwertyuiopasdfghjklzxcvbnm1234567890"
I will probably add a few punctuation characters as well.
I only got my C710 a couple of days ago! |

Did you get a new keyboard that easily? No more coding? I need one for POIs so I can enter Swedish characters. |

Yes it really is that simple. There are a number of default keyboard groups in that file to get an idea from. What I did with my lowercase English is remove the numbers and selected a few of the more important characters, such as?/@# etc.
You might take care with & as that could have an effect on the import/export of POI's. Though I have not tried that character.
You might need to experiment with the order of letters/characters in that text string. By removing the numbes I had 10 keys available on the top line of the keyboard for my characters. If you try to emulate a normal PC keyboard you might have unexpected results! |
