I have read a lot about the different organizations doing france radars /speed cameras like gpspassion, alertegps etc etc. However I am still not sure which ones are the best. Can anyone say from experience ?
Thanks |

A funny thing just happened. I loaded up TTH just now and its given me speed camera updates for Belgium, France etc etc Ive downloaded them onto the GO but am not sure how accurate these will be and how they compare to the gpspassion or alteregps ones. |

I used the french speed cams earlier this year, switched it off in the end, on the autoroute it was warning me of mobile sites on nearly every bridge! _________________ Garmin Emap, Ipaq 2210 with TomTom Navigator 5, TomTom One, Pioneer AVIC-X1R, TomTom 910 (stolen). sorry, been away!
I think it was the Alertgps database.
Complete waste of time on autoroutes, maybe ok on normal roads but I didn't use them. Travelled straight through to Spain.
I remember passing a few 'boxes' on the autoroutes, all the traffic slowed (remember the autoroute speed limit is 130kmh/ 85mph) well in advance when a sign came up. _________________ Garmin Emap, Ipaq 2210 with TomTom Navigator 5, TomTom One, Pioneer AVIC-X1R, TomTom 910 (stolen). thanks
spoke to a Client who came to out company for training and he said he went to France recently and they now find out your speed by averaging between two toll stations ... what a drag. Still, Ill ask mr tomtom to avoid tolls :p |

that rumour has been going on for years, I've yet to hear of anyone who's been done.
Still I think 130kph is fast enough _________________ Garmin Emap, Ipaq 2210 with TomTom Navigator 5, TomTom One, Pioneer AVIC-X1R, TomTom 910 (stolen). TomTom 520, TomTom 6100 (Faulty, replaced under warranty), Currently got a TomTom 6200 |
